My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BLOSSOM I am already spayed, micro-chipped, up to date with shots and good with dogs and cats.
BLOSSOM is a female Toy Poodle. She is approx. 6 years old. She has a stunning red coat of curls that is non-shedding. She is a small girl. She weighs 7 lbs which is a good adult weight for her. Blossom has quickly learned the ways of her foster home. She is alert and intelligent. She gets along perfectly with the other dogs in the house and follows them around and watches them with interest. She loves to snuggle with her favorite doggy friend or human parents. Blossom sleeps through the night in a small doggie bed or tucked in all nice and comfy with her foster mom and foster siblings. Blossom loves every bit of attention she receives and shows it with wiggling enthusiasm. She adores being held in your lap and will sleep there while you work or read and if you have no hands left to carry her into the store, she will happily hitch a ride in the cart or your bag!
Blossom has been through a lot in her life and amazingly, her bright little spirit remains unbroken. Blossom was rescued from a puppy mill in South Korea where she lived in a cage for the first six years of her life. Now she enjoys going for rides in the car and the feel of grass under her paws. Blossom is a good eater and is very appreciative of her food. In fact at mealtime she is so excited that she can barely contain herself and she bounces around running from her bed to her bowl.
Blossom’s housetraining is a work in progress. At this time she prefers to use potty pads. Blossom still has much to learn and experience. Sudden movements will startle her. She was evaluated by a veterinary eye care specialist and our rescue was told that she has been blind in her left eye since birth, but has partial vision in her right. This explains why Blossom is not a big fan of walks and prefers outings in a doggy stroller. Blossom requires daily drops to keep her eyes moist. They are quite easy to apply. Blossom has a gentle affectionate personality and will thrive in a peaceful, secure, quiet and stable home. For this reason we think that it is best that Blossom’s new parent have the ability to stay at home with her and that there are no young children in the household. If you are the person to help Blossom forget about her terrible past and become the best little dog that she can be, please consider adopting her. Blossom would love to meet you!
You can meet Blossom at PETSMART 8657 Villa La Jolla Dr. La Jolla, CA 92036 on SAT., June 10th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
