I need a SPECIAL PERSON, who is patient and kind and a quiet home with no children, other cats, or dogs. I was brought to the Euclid Animal Shelter by police because my owner died. I have been here for several months and am just now venturing out of my hidey-house. My beautiful fur was matted, and I was really scared. Little by little the kind people here have removed most of the clumps, and I am getting used to being held and petted. When someone comes too close, I will growl, but I am definitely not aggressive. I have no front claws so growling is my only defense. This whole experience has been traumatic for me. I am waiting for someone who will give me a quiet environment and will let me warm up to them at my own pace. I have lots of love left to give. Note: We often see this kind of behavior from cats who are traumatized by being in the shelter. Most often they become the most loving and appreciative companions when they get to go to a loving home. Sometimes it's a quick adjustment. Sometimes it takes longer, but it almost always works out for the best.

About Our Shelter...

Euclid Pet Pals is the volunteer organization whose members care for the animals at the Euclid Animal Shelter, in Euclid, Ohio. We raise funds by offering personal and business memberships and cage sponsorships. Other fundraisers include a Bark-B-Q in May, a Clam Jam in October, and car washes in July. The money we raise is used to pay for veterinary care and medications, necessary supplies, and spay/neuters.
