Jojo is a 6 year old Quarter type mare that came in as an owner surrender. Jojo is a strong-willed young woman, does not lack an ounce of attitude and runs with the big boys in the herd. She has been started under saddle, but will require further training. Jojo will make a dedicated, life-long partner for "her person" when we find the one. Her loyalty will be remarkable for the one who connects with her, earns her trust and respects her equally. Jojo has a current negative coggins and she is up-to-date on vaccinations.

About Georgia Draft Horse Rehabilitation and Recovery, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

We are an equine rehabilitation facility who specializes in draft horse breeds, however we are open to any equine breed and even some other species. We rescue horses from abuse and/or neglect situations. We have private owner surrenders, and also work with the state officials on their cases.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Check our website for community events! Our animals can be seen any other time, by appointment only.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adopters are screened prior to adoption starting with a basic adoption application which lists their information, references and history owning animals. We then verify the information and check their references. We then encourage the potential adopter to come spend adequate time with the animal they wish to adopt to make sure it is a good fit. If all is well, we move forward with the site inspection and then the adoption. There is an adoption contract in place and signed prior to the animal leaving our facility. The fees to adopt a horse will range from $200.00-$800.00 usually, with some exceptions.
