Formerly feral, this shy girl is Lady, a 4-5 year old Jindo mix who really just wants to be part of a family. She's a lower energy dog, content to relax around the house; Lady will benefit from a confident, experienced owner who has previously worked with shy dogs and can appreciate a dog who rather watch you from across the room than to cuddle on the sofa.
Lady is still learning world-skills but has come along really well. She is indifferent to strangers. She doesn't like riding in a car but crates well for it. She likes walks but she's still learning to walk on her leash. Lady loves other dogs and is playful and confident with them. She also seems to learn from the example set by pack-mates so she will benefit from another confident dog in her pack.
I am up to date on all of my vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. My adoption fee is $250. If you would like to meet me, please email for an application or visit our website to download one!
My Way Home adopts in the Portland metro area only.

About My Way Home Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small group of volunteer foster families located in and around Portland, OR helping one dog at a time. Dogs are housed in homes to assess their behavior and level of training, and to develop their basic social skills. They often have exposure to other pets and people that they would not get in a shelter setting. The stresses of group living in shelters sometimes masks a dog's true personality. We want our dogs to shine and strive to make the best match possible so that the dog you take home is with you forever.

Please note, because we are volunteers housing dogs in our own homes, we are unable to assist with owner surrender situations. We suggest placing flyers at your veterinarian, local pet food stores, working with your local shelters and rescues that are able to assist with owner surrenders.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We work individually with families and dogs, setting up meet and greets by appointment after a phone interview and application review. We are a group of volunteer foster families and do not operate a facility. Our dogs are a part of a family before finding a forever home.

Our Adoption Process...

Once you have found the pet that you are interested in, please email us and we'll be back in touch with you with an application that you may fill out for the dog you are considering. If it seems like a good match, we will do a phone screening to answer any further questions you may have and look at scheduling a meet and greet.

Fees do vary and all adoption fees go directly towards the costs for medical care and general needs of our dogs. We do our best to ensure each dog is appropriately matched with each home, as such, we are not a first come first serve rescue. We strive to answer inquiries within 24 hours, but we are run entirely by volunteers. Please be patient as we work to respond to you quickly.
