Foster Update: Although small in size, enjoys big hugs, snuggles, and long naps. But among all she is a lap dog, contently curling into a circle on your lap or snuggling by your neck. For being so small, she plays well with dogs eight times her size. Melinda, who could be quite shy at first, does not seek heavy activity but consistent companionship. She is working on potty training and gets along well with adults as well as children
Melinda is a 1 year old Chihuahua who weighs in at 7 pounds. She is a very sweet gal, but initially shy. Melinda prefers to approach her humans at her own pace. Her shyness quickly goes away once she knows you and then wants to be on your lap. So, she is quite the cuddle bug once her initial shyness wears off. She is good with other dogs and plays well with her canine foster siblings. She is not recommended for homes with children under the age of 8 and they must be respectful of her shy nature. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives and eager to find a forever home!
The adoption fee for this dog is $295, which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter.
***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check.
