Roc's Story...
**Adoption Pending**

Roc came in with his brother Rollin after being picked up as strays. Both came in pretty thin and sick but Roc has done amazing. Roc is a Rhodesian mix (With what? Well a whole lot of cuteness of course!) He is about 5 months old and all ready for his summer to start with a new family!

Roc is your typical puppy who just loves to run and play. He's been in play group with several of our dogs and has done fabulous with them all. He is a smart little cookie too! He already knows to potty outside if you get him out in time. He now does all his poop outside and most of his potty. He will use a piddle pad inside if he can't wait.

He comes when called and also responds to 'no'. He is the explorer, the curious one, the playful one of the two brothers and would make a great addition to any family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roc, a Chicago Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rhodesian Ridgeback for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rhodesian Ridgeback breeders who help with Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
