Turner's Info...

Turner's Story...
Turner’s taken 191 trips around the track over the past couple of years and she has lots of ribbons to show for her 1st career. But now she is ready and quickly settling into her 2nd career – retirement. And it suits her just fine. Left to her own devices she hangs out in her crate with nary a whine, scrunching up her blankets to sleep one way, then re-adjusting to make sure they are just right to sleep some more! She is right now an only dog and is fine without play mates and can last all day before needing another potty break. She is a low energy girl with a high delight in food and treats. She will do anything to get a treat – learn how to go up and down stairs? No problem if there are treats waiting for me. Go into my crate? Goody, goody, there’s a treat there. Pass by that really noisy, big dog without any fuss? Treat time’s coming. Turner’s a quick study and will go far. She’s a beautiful little girl who loves to have her ears rubbed and she’s waiting for you to take her home! Interested? Apply today to meet her!

Turner will be available for in-home meetings with approved adopters beginning 5/26.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Turner, a Spencerville Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Spencerville, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Spencerville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Spencerville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Spencerville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Spencerville paves the way for another one to be saved.
