Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Estrella is a 2 year old, 52 lb mixed breed girl. Her foster mom recently got her a DNA test to see what her mix is exactly. It turns out Estrella is a shepherd, vizsla, boxer, chow mix! Estrella is an A+ professional snuggler who adores her people, though she does need extra time to warm up to men. Estrella would likely do well in a home with kids 10 years and up, but will not go home to children younger than this age. In her past foster home she had issues with guarding bowls, food, toys and people. This may be an issue in her future home but she has not had this problem in her current foster home. Her leash manners are iffy, if she sees a squirrel she’ll try to pull the leash out of your hands. Estrella has EXCELLENT house manners and has not had a single accident in her foster home. She crates immediately when you ask her to and naps in her crate with the door open sometimes. She does not need to be crated though, and has not shown us any bad indoor manners at all (not destructive). Estrella is a medium energy dog who just wants to be by your side as often as possible. She does not have any separation anxiety. She is fairly vocal when she hears or sees people near her home, so she would not do well in an apartment living situation. She tends to be growly when someone walks into her home and does better with introductions outside of the home. Once she gets to know you the growling ceases.
Estrella is great with other dogs and cats but is sometimes leash reactive when she sees other dogs walking by. She has done just fine in a group obedience class. She does have a prey drive for anything small and running outdoors but lets the cats in her foster home walk all over her with no issues. Estrella listens VERY well and responds quickly when given an immediate sharp “no” for bad behavior. She is dialed in to her people and definitely wants to please. She loves playing with toys and the dog she is currently staying with. Estrella definitely wants to have other dogs in her forever home. She is a happy go-lucky girl who just wants to give lots of love.
