Phineas's Story...
We would like you to meet Phineas!

Phineas(Phin) is a very handsome 4 year old Pure bred English Mastiff looking for his new forever family. Phin weighs in at 185 pounds and joined our rescue after his family situation changed and his breeder refused to take him back (no negative comments please). Phineas is good with other dogs, cats and kids. He plays gently but sometimes does not realize his size. We believe that Phin would do best in a home with another dog or someone that is home more often than not as he does not enjoy being alone much and would love a companion. Phin is house broken as well as professionally trained for his basic obedience. He is a wonderful boy that is so very deserving of a forever home! Giant breed and/or Mastiff experience is required in order to bring him home.

If you have room in your home and heart for Phineas, please visit www.because4paws.org and fill out an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Phineas, a Oxford English Mastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Mastiff for sale in Oxford, or seeking a English Mastiff dog from a breeder in Oxford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oxford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oxford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Mastiff breeders who help with English Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oxford paves the way for another one to be saved.
