Hello! My name is Kitty, and I am a super-affectionate 6 year old girl who was originally a stray, but now am well on my way to becoming someone’s “furever” companion. Today a volunteer noticed that there was a lot of fur on my blankets in my cage, so she introduced me to a comb in the Meet-and-Greet room. Wow, what an experience! I leaned into that comb so it could smooth around my face and neck, and let it run deliciously through my back, sides and tail. She got a LOT of fur off of me, and I just purred and loved every moment of it! After a delightful ten minutes of petting, I decided to stretch my legs a bit, and played with a string for a little while, but came back to that enticing comb again. The volunteer noticed that my rear claws were very long, so she enlisted the help of another volunteer to help hold me while she trimmed them. Some cats do not like to have their claws trimmed, but I was gently held and did not even flinch for all eight nails to be trimmed! They both praised me for being such a good kitty. You may notice that one of my eyes is a little different from the other, but it doesn’t affect me at all, and just gives me a special and unique look. Today, another cat hissed at me as she was put in her adjacent cage, but I seemed pretty chill about that, and so I might do okay with another cat. Would you please come and meet with me here at the Lancaster SPCA? I would love to meet you!
