Charlie Boy's Story...
CHARLIE BOY

Meet Charlie Boy, a calm, snuggly 3 year old Cairn Terrier mix. He's a dream dog with no bad habits whatsoever. Maybe because he came from our recent hoarding situation, he is appreciative of everything!
He uses the doggie door, plays well with others, has never met a person he doesn't like, and loves car rides. At only 9 pounds, he needs to gain more weight, he would like some yummy groceries. He would do well as an only dog or as a companion to another dog. We think he would do well with respectful children.
If you would like to make Charlie Boy a part of your family please fill out an application online at www.lapdogrescue.org and include his name at the top.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie Boy, a Tijeras Cairn Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Tijeras, or seeking a Cairn Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Tijeras.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tijeras already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tijeras breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Cairn Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tijeras paves the way for another one to be saved.
