Teenie & Weenie were in an over crowded shelter in Southern Illinois and were going to be killed for space when I heart about them on 5-22. We scrambled to work on a rescue and they came to the Chicago the next day. I was able to contact the man who left them at the shelter and he stated they are 3/4's Pointer and 1/4 Brittany. At 7 months old Teenie the larger pup is 27lbs and Weenie is 19.5lbs. She also has an endearing under bite and with her smaller size she reminds me of an adorable Chihuahua. The girls did not get a lot of socialization and were left in a pen most of the time in their last home- but they are just stink'n adorable playing with each other in temp foster care. They are food motivated so I am building their trust with good food and treats. After their shampoo, both just wanted to snuggle up next to each other in my lap.
What I need is a foster home that can continue helping them adjust to life in the suburbs and also to help with their meds. In a couple of weeks they will need their blood work and spays. It was raining when they arrived so most of the photos in their Facebook Album they are a little wet.
