Are you a fan of big, goofy dogs? Well then you should probably meet this guy, Aero. AKA Tucker.
If “Silly Lug” was a breed, Tucker would be the king! Since it is not a breed, we will go with a mix that may include German Shepherd and Saint Bernard. He weighs about 115 pounds.
Tucker is strong and when he wants to go right, there is good chance you will end up going right. He has not displayed any aggressiveness toward people and can usually be encouraged to follow you with a happy invite and some encouragement. He is smart too! He has easily learned “sit” and “touch” and we are making progress with “shake”.
He loves his Kong! He will actually carry it with him while on his walks as you can see in his picture below. He is also a huge fan of toys and just enjoys collecting them and having something to kind of chew on. We have not seen evidence of destructive chewing at this point. When he sees bunnies or birds on his walks, he is attentive but does not attempt to chase them.
He is a pretty calm guy but when other dogs are in kennels near him, he is sometimes quite excited and will jump and bark. We have observed limited interactions with children but he seems to be gentle with children when in a controlled environment, absent excitement. Because of his size and strength, older children may be better.
From what we were told from the vet, he is probably dog selective. We do not know his history and so will be extremely cautious with applicants who currently have a dog(s). He is big and strong but also very receptive to human direction and he is such a happy boy!!
Tucker is neutered and UTD on his shots.

Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet.
Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.
We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.
We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
