My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Libby is an adorable senior female Dachshund who arrived at the HSOV on May 23, 2017 after a Good Samaritan found her on Third Street in Marietta Ohio and brought her to the safety of our shelter. The kind lady who gave her a ride thought she seemed hungry so she stopped and brought her a cheeseburger (much to Libby's delight!)

Libby was wearing a collar but, unfortunately, there was neither an id tag nor a dog tag to enable us to locate her family.

This little sweetheart has a fawn-colored coat, short legs, a long body, a long tail, and a Classic Doxie face with a long slender muzzle and extra-large floppy ears. Libby has an extremely friendly personality and adores attention. She also loves to snuggle in your arms.

Libby is a petite little lady who weighs 9.2 lbs.

In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Libby will be held for three days so that her owner has an opportunity to reclaim her. She will be available for adoption on May 26, 2017 if she is not reclaimed before that date.

Surely her family is missing this little girl since she seems like someone's beloved pet.

Libby is now available for adoption since she was not reclaimed. We've learned that Libby has a high-grade heart murmur, and we are very happy to report that she was adopted on May 30th and found the perfect home where she will be loved and cherished <3
