Over a month ago, WCFA was contacted by Mrs. Bell asking for assistance in re-homing Tia. Tia is a 4 year old Brindle pit who weighs 60 lb. Mrs. Bell's adult son adopted Tia from the Mesquite Shelter in 2015. Mrs. Bell said that her son ... has since moved out of state leaving Tia with her along.... Mrs. Bell is 76 years old, lives in an upstairs condo and has difficulty providing proper exercise for Tia ....
We (WCFA) have had Tia at three pet adoptions and around two smaller dogs without issues. Not sure how she will do around large dogs. Tia is strong but well mannered and loves to fetch. She knows basic commands of sit, down, stay. She does very well with people. No cats. She does have a tendency to pull on leash but and we work with her at each pet adoption.
Mrs. Bell is doing the best she can under the circumstances but cannot keep Tia long term. Tia is spayed, current on her vaccines and micro-chipped. If you are interested in adopting Tia, please contact Linda at 702.376.1642.
