Cheeks's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.

Cheeks's Story...
Cheeks is 3 year old, neutered male cat, who is quite successfully masquerading for a hamster. His cheeks are enormous. One reason for his full moon-like round face is that he was neutered when fully grown, but whatever the reason - he is beautiful and he loves them gently scratched. He is a master snuggler and a conversation piece. He is also an amazing model of Kittenlidz - unique, handmade kitty bonnets. Cheeks loves other cats, kittens and of course people of all ages!

Cheeks was rescued from a local kill shelter. He is neutered, vaccinated, tested for FIV and FELV and microchipped.

Please note we are based in Brooklyn, NY. We place our cats and kittens in New York City.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cheeks, a Brooklyn American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
