Jojo's Story...
We adopted Jojo from our local shelter a little over three years ago. He is 60 pounds and our vet estimated that he is about four-years-old. About a year after we adopted Jojo, my allergies kicked into high gear and so did his anxiety to storms (thunder/lightening/fireworks). Sleeping by your bed alleviates his anxiety during storms completely. However, I get one sinus infection after the next anytime Jojo sleeps in my room (even with regular grooming for him, allergy shots for over a year & daily allergy medicine for me). We tired multiple anxiety meds to help him get through storms but the only thing that works is for him to sleep next to your bed. Jojo is very friendly and loving. He does get hyper around new people. He responds to commands though and will calm down eventually. He loves playing fetch and running around. He has tons of energy! He's great with children and other pets.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jojo, a Sneads Ferry Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Sneads Ferry, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Sneads Ferry.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sneads Ferry already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sneads Ferry breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sneads Ferry paves the way for another one to be saved.
