OSCAR is one of a kind! In addition to being beyond adorable with his stunning coat and gorgeous eyes, he has a gem of a personality. He constantly seems to have a happy twinkle in his eyes and a joy in his walk. OSCAR is a consummate gentleman who is great with both large and small dogs. He has spent time with everyone from puppies, to seniors and can coexist with both. He adores going for walks and is the happy go lucky kind of dog you can take to any public place. He has been terrific on play dates and received an A+ report card from doggie day care. His Youtube video attached to this post illustrates his dog friendly personality well. In the video, OSCAR is meeting a large group of dogs for the very first time.
He has plenty of stamina for hiking or a short jog, but he isn’t a hyper, annoying guy. His foster home is a zero lot line home and he does very well there. However, we know he would also make the most of romping in a big yard. OSCAR is the kind of dog who will make a great side kick for all of life’s adventures, but will also be happy if your type of adventure is just walking around your neighborhood.
OSCAR has proven to be potty trained since day one. He is a mannerly type of guy. Though his handsome coat is long, we were pleasantly surprised to discover, he is a not a shedder. We can't guarantee "no shed" or "hypoallergenic." Since OSCAR is a rescue pup we have not done a DNA test on him. OSCAR is 3-4 years old and weighs around 40 pounds. His forever family is will be in love the second they get their hands on this
OSCAR is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations.
His $450 adoption fee includes the cost of his transport after he is adopted.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
