Just looking into her sweet face, you can’t help but wonder what Jamaica has experienced in her lifetime. Jamaica is a Soi Dog rescued from the illegal Dog Meat Trade (DMT) in Thailand, during which she likely lost her right eye. She and a group of her friends were rescued from the Soi Dog Foundation facility in Phuket and flown stateside in May 2017. Despite her disfigurement, Jamaica has a bright, smiley, friendly, easygoing, and laidback energy that brings calm to those around her. She gets along well with other dogs, and generally prefers to sit back and watch from the shady sidelines as opposed to getting into the thick of the action herself. Out on walks, Jamaica loves to sniff everything and anything in sight (and smelling distance), taking in the world around her. Jamaica is a great medium size of around 50 pounds and she is estimated to be around 7 and a half years old. We believe she is housebroken as she always keeps her kennel clean and waits to do her business outside. Though she’s already graying in the face, Jamaica still has a lot of golden years left ahead of her. Do you have room in your home and heart for Jamaica?
