Buttermilk is a 13 year old, 65 pounds, altert and according to Vet healthy gal but does have hairloss they noone can figure out even after tests according to her current owners that had her since age 7 weeks
Buttermilk is on twice a day Thyroid meds for one year now dose of 0.5mg
she has been on glutenfree diet the past few months
she used to have a beautiful nice light tan plush coat
and we are hoping she will again
It may be as simple as upping her Thyroid meeds

it started 2 years ago owners stated and was taken to a vet who most likely did not put her on thyroid meds
right away as she was just put on one year ago but it has not helped her
I'm not a Vet but I would at least talk to a knowledgable Vet to try putting her on a higher dose
which I hope will happen soon
in a new home or while in boarding
her owners said  she cannot stay in boarding much longer so needs a real home permanent matching home
ASAP
Someone that is stable and financially stable to provide Buttermilk with whatever she may need
besides the Thyroid issue/hairloss she's in great health for her age
she does not act her age and still has "spiff" a happy gal
I met her she LOVED the duck treats over anything
and her little outings outside the city limits
There was no aggression issues
she came up to me a few times in those 30 minutes we where together
and smelled my face twice
but dogs know
I love animals
and that is the type of person we need for her
someone down to earth not expecting a world of a senior dog
but work their way around her
I think she will be a very easy dog for someone that is lower energy
little foot traffic in the home
a fenced yard and walks be fine for her
a outskirts of town or country with secure fenced acrage or yard even better
only dog
no kids
never been around any don't need it now

Buttermilks owners moved from the country into an rv park (as they have health issues) which does not accept dogs over 25 pounds so poor Buttermilk is now in boarding for a short time only so needs a home ASAP

from owners below
she is experiencing hair loss and is being treated for this with thyroid meds. because her thyroid levels were low.....she takes thyroid meds daily. She has been tested for skin disorders but none were found.

Buttermilk has lived with 2 cats and just ignored them so could possibly live with other dog savvy cats
She has gotten along with our indoor cats and pretty much ignores them (the cats are seniors as well)

She knows the following commands and tricks: Sit, down (from a sitting position),Come, Stay, Speak, Shake, Heel, Whoa (stop when heeling and walking) Get your rope, rug, toys

She has had little exposure to other dogs....Kennel personnel say that she prefers the company of older, less active and quieter dogs.

Living out in the country, Buttermilk has had little experience meeting strangers in public but if properly introduced, she responds well
Which she met myself and a volunteer today without any problems

Looking for the right quiet home someone with lots of love to give and let Buttermilk live out her Golden Years

she will be a good companion, your side kick
a home with little to no foot traffic is what she lived in otherwise was put away into another room
or crate train

if that's you
please sweep her of her little paws and give her the loving home she deserves at her age

adoption fee of $25.00 to right approved family, references, fenced yard, pics of home
