My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello friends, I'm OZZY, a 21 month old 72lb Labrador Retriever who is looking for my forever family.
I was born November 14, 2015 and am neutered, up to date with all my shots, and house trained. I'm mostly good with people and other dogs. I like cats too, but my idea of playtime isn't exactly the same as theirs, so it's best that there are no cats in my home.

Here's what my foster mom has to say about me:

"OZZY is a 21 month old gorgeous dog who is eager to please. He's still a puppy who doesn't realize that he's a big boy, so will need humans who are strong and fit to play with and go on walks with him. He does very well with his commands like stay, heel and come, especially when treats are involved! He doesn't like the crate at all, and does not need it as he does not touch things that don't belong to him. He'd be a great dog for experienced owners as he's very loving and adores his family."

I do initially bark at some people, but I warm up quickly and I love to wrestle and rough house. I really enjoy playing with other dogs, and I do modify my behaviour according to their size. I'm very gentle with small dogs. I'm good at home by myself and don't need to be crated at all as I don't touch anything that doesn't belong to me. I do enjoy having chew toys of my own to keep me occupied. I very much want to please my family, so I would benefit from training lessons. I can get pretty excited on my walks and accidentally pull you along with me, or I may knock you over when I see something at the window. I don't mean to, and I try to be as gentle as possible, it's just hard to remember when there's so many interesting things around. For that reason, there should be no small kids in my home (teenagers would be good to play with). I'd love a family that would take me out to the dog park a lot, or swimming at the cottage or just going out for fun adventures!

If you're looking for an energetic companion to keep up with you, then I'm your guy!
