If your idea of relaxation is staring out at the ocean with a cool drink in your hand, our resident Kaia might be the one for you! Kaia means "sea" in Hawaiian, and we think this girl as the same tranquility-inducing properties! She's a one year old itty bitty pittie mix - she's only 32 pounds! She has a unique dilute brindle coat and the biggest, saddest, sweetest eyes around. Kaia came to ACL from a local animal control where she had been surrendered when the owners lost their home. Kaia is a timid lady who can be a little skittish when you first meet her, but she's all hugs and wiggles in just a few seconds. And she really does wrap her arms around you in a hug! Kaia is good with other dogs, but she does prefer little dogs who don't intimidate her. Because she's a little on the nervous side here at the shelter, she'll do best with kids 6 and up. We don't know how she feels about cats. We do know that a little sweetness is all it takes to unlock Kaia's true nature - love!
