My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adali has been on a rescue journey and is very special to us. A sister to Aubree, they and their litter were loaded into a UHaul van as older puppies and brought to a Texas shelter as a highly under socialized group. Adali was doing the worst of the batch, melting down badly in such a scary place.

She thrived in foster care, however, for two months in Texas and now has arrived in RI. She is a very sweet and affectionate girl and oh so smart - she learns very quickly and is most willing. This is a very tactile young dog....she is around ten months old now....who bonds strongly and has a very social nature. She still can be skittish and unsure and needs someone who will continue to build her confidence.

Adali would not be best for first time pet owners but for those with experience who can give her the socialization, training and experience she needs while being supportive of her sensitive nature. She's good company and such a beauty, but also an energetic girl who needs to learn manners and some basic obedience, while having her exercise needs fulfilled. She greatly deserves someone who has the time to invest in her, and will return it tenfold.

She crates well and does well with cats and kids, although she is probably too energetic for small kids. She is also very good with other dogs. She is a talker and a barker and needs a home where these will not be issues, although with some training these habits can be brought under some level of control.

Applications are available on our soutthpawsexpress.org website, or via contacting Lucy at maramuser@gmail.com. Her adoption fee is $450.
