My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kane is the complete package! This gorgeous Doberboy has a very a gentle, sweet and affectionate personality with a love for cuddling and human interaction. He loves the great outdoors and makes a great hiking companion with his youthful energy, long limbs and athletic build. Kane can be a little shy until he gets to know you but his love of head scratches and kisses doesn’t keep him reserved for very long. Kane is a fast learner and picked up on our routine very quickly. When he knows it’s time for his mommy to go to work, he goes to lay down on one of the couches or dog beds available to him and spends his day napping.
Kane shares his foster home with two other Dobermans and he gets along great with them. At first, he was a little afraid to play with them but now he will gladly initiate play and goof around with them. Kane has all the cuteness of a puppy but at 3 years is well past the potty training and destructive phases. He is trusted to roam free in his foster home and is very good about it. Kane is a true velcro dog and will make sure you are never alone when he is around, whether you’re doing laundry, in the kitchen, bathroom, on the couch, in your bed, etc.
Kane would do best with older children that can understand and respect the fact that he is a large, strong and exuberant dog. While Kane does well on traditional harnesses, it may be necessary for some to use a front-clip harness as he can get excited when seeing critters like squirrels or rabbits and he is a tall and strong boy. (Kane already has a front-clip harness so will bring his along to his new home!) Please consider opening your heart and home to this sweet boy! If you have any questions, just let us know!
