Julie's Story...
I am a beautiful and super sweet cat with crystal green eyes who has been waiting patiently for my forever home quite a long time. Some animals with wonderful qualities just seem to get overlooked and I am one. I have a fabulous personality as I am gentle, low key, yet affectionate and loving. I would make the perfect partner for watching movies or television as I enjoy being a "couch potato." My demands are small: some petting and conversation and good food. I am the cat that would be so "easy" in my new home. Because I have been coming to the adoption site for SO LONG, I am sometimes just a crank when I amthere, but real cat people understand this adoption day "attitude." I REALLY, REALLY wants someone to be my one and only. Please pass my picture and story on to friends and family. I promise to be one great cat! Please contact HPPL to make arrangements to meet me. My edob is 6/02.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Julie, a Houston Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
