Joanie was rescued after the February flood in San Jose -- she gave birth to three healthy babies but the woman who rescued her unfortunately was not able to shelter her as she herself was flooded out.

Joanie was the best mama ever. Her babies thrived under her love and care...and now Joanie herself is looking for a safe and loving Forever Family! She is a very petite girl, just under 6 pounds. She loves her laser toy and adores being petted. She's mildly chatty and loves to purr.

She's good with calm dogs--at this point she would do best as the only cat in the household.

Indoors only--although young, she's had an adventurous life and now would like to remain indoors forever!

How To Adopt Me!

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat

About 13th St. Nac Cat Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

13th Street Cats is an all volunteer organization dedicated to improving the lives of feral and social cats and reducing the population by TNR – Trap, Neuter, Return in Santa Clara County. Kittens and cats that can be socialized are taken into foster care while waiting adoption. With a no kill philosophy, 13th St Cats is pleased to be able to rescue these homeless animals who might otherwise end up in a local kill shelter, helping to reduce euthanasia rates.
