Trudy is a 1 year old, 50 pound Boxer mix who is in desperate need of a loving family. She doesn't know why she ended up all alone in a shelter, but she definitely doesn't belong there! Trudy is absolutely ADORABLE and full of personality with that giant smile! Boxers tend to have a lot of energy so she will need lots of exercise to keep her happy and healthy! With those good looks, she would look great jogging next to you, sure to get lots of attention at the dog park and could definitely keep up on those weekend hikes you love so much! She gets along well with other dogs so she would fit in well with an existing pack, or could be an only child and soak up all the attention. Trudy also does well with cats! Whatever your lifestyle, Trudy just wants to be a part of it!

Like most shelter dogs, Trudy may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Lauren at!

About Lucky Dog Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is a group of highly motivated and highly dedicated volunteers. We spend countless hours making sure that wonderful dogs find loving forever homes. We don't do it for money -- we do it for the joy a dog can bring to its new family; we do it for our love of animals; and we do it to save lives!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!
