Dakota's Story...
Hi my name is Dakota, what's yours? Foster mama taught me how to be polite hehe. I was saved from the county shelter where I was turned in very ill along with my even more ill brother. Sadly the county shelter decided to euthanize him. Luckily I was able to be saved. My eyes are all healed now but have some scarring so they look a little funny. As I get older they may clear up even more. I still get around and play like all the other foster babies. It also doesn't interfere with my snuggles! I love snuggles and kisses after playtime. I hope there is someone out there looking for a sweetie like me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dakota, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
