Jacob is one of the most deceiving dogs here. When you see him in the kennel, you may think that he is quite a buffoon. He's loud, bouncy, and just wants to get your attention. He gives the impression that he is very high energy and just wants to GO. That is not at all true! This 3 year old lab/pit mix comes out of his run and turns into the biggest ball of mush you've ever met. He just wants to stand up and hug you and have you pet him and love him forever. He is so happy, he has zero shyness about him, and he's so well behaved too. Jacob will need a home with no cats but he just loves people. Jacob can get along with another dog and had a good dog buddy once, but he is standoffish with new dogs. You will need to bring your dog in a few times to ensure that it's a good fit and obviously, use supervision at home. Come in and meet Jacob... you just couldn't ask for a nicer dog to share your life with! File#27074 2/4/17

About Our Shelter...

The Associated Humane Societies, founded in 1906, is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey. We comprise three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls . Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park Zoo.
