Scarlet von Saarlouis's Story...
Scarlet von Saarlouis is an adorable 10 week old German Shepherd puppy. She was born with a condition called straight legged syndrome. We have seen it before, there is no pelvis or hip sockets, but she walks and right now it is hardly noticeable. She was rescued with her white German Shepherd momma, Sierra. X-rays are available if you want to confer with your vet. There is no surgery to create a pelvis or hip sockets. Scarlet is a little miracle!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scarlet von Saarlouis, a Los Angeles German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
