My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ON TRIAL / EN PÉRIODE D'ESSAI
Guimauve, a 10-month-old, Whippet, who was given up because she did not get along with the other two family dogs. Guimauve is doing fine at our Centre with all the dogs. Whippets need plenty of exercise and nice walks and then they love nothing more than to curl up and snuggle with their human. A fenced yard is a MUST for Guimauve; Whippets are sighthounds and have the instinct to chase -- they are too fast to catch. Whippets are athletic and are usually keen participants in agility and flyball. Guimauve is a "velcro" dog who loves nothing more than to be curled up beside you -- if you are interested in a Whippet, you definitely will have a sleeping companion who will snuggle up under the covers. Guimauve, like all Whippets, is sensitive to cold -- a warm coat for the cold weather is a must. Guimauve is still a puppy and would not do well in a home where she is alone all day. If you are looking for a gentle and devoted companion, this elegant girl might be the dog for you. Please fill in the on-line Adoption Form if you would like to adopt Guimauve.

Preference will be given to people experienced with the breed.
