Lillie's Story...
Lillie has been with the same owner since she was a puppy. Her owner's husband just recently passed away, and she must now relocate to an apartment, where Lillie will have nowhere to exercise, and her owner is getting up in years, and sadly brought her to our shelter last week to find her a new home. Lillie is about 6-1/2 years old, and has always received all veterinary care promptly and faithfully by her adoring owner. She ADORES children, so we're hoping to find her a loving home with an active young family. Lillie is devoted, quiet, well-behaved, and eager for love. She is submissive with both humans and other pets. She is also very beautiful, although perhaps a few pounds overweight, another reason why we are looking for an active family, so they will take Lillie for walks and maybe the local dog park, or even day-care! A home with a secure fence would be required; Lillie is a very special girl, and we want her to be safe in her new home. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lillie, a Medora Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Medora, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Medora.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Medora already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Medora breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Medora paves the way for another one to be saved.
