ASVT is made up entirely of volunteers who love animals and advocate for healthy animals and adoption.
We socialize pets at the shelter by walking and playing with them, providing play yards and human attention.
We transport dogs to higher rate adoption shelters for adoption.
We facilitate local adoptions at the shelter and by taking pets to local businesses and events for adoption fairs.
We provide medical care for ill/injured animals that the shelter is unable to treat due to budget concerns.
ASVT gladly accepts donations for our transport program, animal supplies (beds, cages, fencing, etc.) and for medical care. Thank you!
Come Meet Our Pets...
All of our animals are in foster homes. We ask that you email us with the animal's name in which you are interested. Please also complete an adoption questionnaire, which can be found at www.conroeanimalshelter.com/adoptquestionnaire.html. We will contact the foster and ask them to contact you to set up a meet and greet.
Our animals do attend adoption events on weekends. Please check our Facebook page, Official Animal Shelter Volunteers of Texas, for locations and times.
Our Adoption Process...
Adoptions are through the Conroe Animal Shelter (CAS) or ASVT. Adopters fill out an application and sign an adoption contract. The adoption is not final until the animal is spayed/neutered.
The adoption fee is $85 for CAS adoptions and $150 for ASVT adoptions. The adoption fee covers the spay/neuter surgery, core vaccinations, including rabies, and a microchip.
Humane America Animal Foundation, dba Adopt-a-Pet.com, is a non-profit, tax-deductible 501(c)(3) adoption advertising charity. Our mission (and passion) is to help
get homeless pets out of the shelters and into loving homes. Let us know what you think! Suggestion & Comment Box

Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures,
