My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Owly is a sweet little 4 ½ year old Smoke Persian.

She was surrendered to our organization by her original owner who purchased her from a breeder. She was very much loved by her family and got along well with her kitty sibling and a poodle as her buddy. As a matter of fact, we were told that Owly and the poodle were very comfortable and loving with each other.

Approx. 9 months ago the family decided to get a new Doberman puppy, which is when things started to change for this lovely girl. The new puppy was a bit too frisky with Owly. Then a doggy door was installed which allowed her to get in and out of the house into the backyard. Our organization feels that purebred kitties, especially Persians with their long fluffy fur, should not be allowed to go outside. There are just too many dangers lurking for these helpless little cats. The owner realized that the situation was not working out for Owly any longer and asked our organization to take her into foster care until a purrfect permanent home can be found for her.

Owly’s foster mom is very enamored with this little darling. She does this little squeak when she meows, which is usually when she gets her wet food or treats. She has a quick purr motor which turns on as soon as she sees her foster mom. It is totally adorable. She is also quick to purr when other people come to visit. Even though Owly grew up with other animals in her original home, she is still adjusting to her furry friends at her foster mom’s home.

We suspect that she would do best as the only treasure in a home with someone who is home a lot. Probably a gentle dog would be fine as well, but if her new family has future plans to adopt a Doberman or other high strung puppy, please consider adopting another kitty.

Owly eats wet and dry food and is litter box perfect. She recently had a vet exam.

Owly is fostered in the Sacramento area.

If you think you are the right person to offer this darling cat a loving home, please contact her foster mom Nancy at (916) 761-1929 or email gogirlnancy0517@gmail.com if you have questions, or send an Adoption Application. If you are unable to reach Nancy by phone or email, email us at Info@purebredsplus.org.
