Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: BOSS
Breed: Purebred German Shepherd
Age: 4-5 (2017)
Sex: Male
Temperament: Friendly
Dog Friendly: Yes, but best with submissive companion. Boss does not like to be provoked by dominant personalities. Boss lived with 2 small dogs, but has a high prey drive. A home with no small animals is more appropriate.
Cat Friendly: No
Good with Kids: Older children only!
Boss was pulled from a high kill shelter. It is always our hope to find an experienced GSD owner when it comes to our GSD's looking for a new home. Many breeds have certain traits that are best handled by an experienced dog owner and/ experienced owner of the breed. German Shepherds have a working dog personality and are high energy. They are not a breed recommended for first time dog owners or inexperienced owners. Potential adopters are preferred to have GSD experience and/or other working dog ownership experience. Boss likes to be the king of his castle and stick his long snoot into your ear to give you kisses. He is a great boy with people, but isn't a big fan of sharing the attention with others, though he does get along okay with submissive personalities.

Peach County Animal Rescue is a rescue located in Fort Valley, GA. Our adoption fees range from $175-350+. On average, our fees are $250. Fees are higher for dogs that came to us with additional things like professional training (i.e. service dog, working dog). All of our dogs are fully vetted: up-to-date on annual shots, spayed/neutered and microchipped with a lifetime registration. We look forward to hearing from you!
