Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Warthog was brought into a local kill shelter as a stray. His fur was motheaten and he looked like he had been surviving under very rough conditions. He immediately went into a "feral" box that is in the cages at the shelter and didn't come out, leading staff to think he was feral. They neutered him and notched his ear to place him in their barn cat program. However, in the process of handling him for this it was discovered he was the sweetest boy ever! Shelter volunteers fell in love with this big black beat-up pathetic cat with the amazingly sweet personality and the tiny little squeaky voice. Knowing black cats are more difficult to adopt and especially ones that look like Warthog and wanting him to have an extra special home because that's what he deserves, they contacted Furry Friends and asked if they would take him into their foster/adoption program and that is exactly what happened. Warthog is a love in his foster home and once he was let out of his cage, he wasn't even shy! He walked around the room checking everything out and fearlessly jumped up on the couch and stretched out for a nap. He has no issues with dogs, cats or kids. Warthog has seen a rough time in his young life so far and been in more than a few fights, but good food and lots of love will undoubtedly grow his motheaten coat back into the sleek glossy handsome boy he is capable of being. Warthog is a big black teddy bear. Warthog is wonderful!
