My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dallas is a precious little pekingese of about 11 years old whose only crime was losing some of his eye sight. That's right, that's why his family turned him in. Seems a ridiculous reason, we know, but Dallas understands now that he has never done anything wrong, and he is looking forward to meeting a new family that will love him unconditionally forever. Dallas is a spry and spunky little guy that even at 11 years old, still has lots of vim and vigor about him. He is a little standoffish when he meets new people but please, give him time. Once he learns he can trust you, Dallas is positively charming and just the sweetest little guy. He is well behaved and loves to go for leisurely strolls with good friends and get lots of love and attention. Dallas has chronic dry eye, which he will need medication for indefinitely, but is otherwise healthy and happy. He will need a home with no small children and one where he will be given the time and patience to settle in and get used to his new surroundings. He is only partially blind and he gets around just fine. Dallas seems fine with other smaller dogs that do not cause him any grief and he will be your best little buddy for life if you give him the chance. File#27121 3/2/17
