My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IDGSR WELCOMES DOMINIC INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!!

PLEASE NOTE: If the dog you are interested in is online, he/she is still available and it is not necessary to email to inquire.

Dominic is GS mix who is about 7 years old. When we rescued him he was very emaciated (40 lbs underweight), heartworm positive and he had horrible ear infection(s) and fur loss. All of that is healed now and he is heartworm negative. He is on supplements to help with his hips/joints. Here is what his foster mom has to say about Dominic:

"Dominic is very laid back and we call him a gentle giant (he weighs almost 100 lbs). Everyone who meets him loves him. He gets along with our dogs, even the chihuahua. He is good with puppies when I bring them home to foster. He absolutely loves my 2 and 4 year old granddaughters and is very patient with them. Dominic needs a family that is ok with a dog who likes short walks, some play time outside, belly rubs and spending time with his family, even if it’s just watching tv and he sits/lays down by your feet. He is an easy dog. He does not have to be crated if left alone, he is housebroken and his house manners are wonderful. He is not good with cats at all so NO CATS. Dom is a great dog who would fit easily into any household and would love to be your constant companion."
