Kiki's Story...
This little girl is a real charmer! A Chihuahua-Pug mix (Chug), tan with a sprinkling of black, Kiki weighs about 12 pounds (birth date 9-1-07). At only about a foot tall, she likes to stand on her hind legs to get a better view of the world. Kiki is young, healthy, and fast! Must walk ON leash – she's an explorer. Around the house, Kiki is very attentive and will follow you everywhere. Sit down and invite her into your lap: she'll study your face, give you a couple of kisses, tuck her nose under your arm, and snooze. Kiki is almost housetrained, but will need continued reminders in this. She would do best in a home without small children. Give her a good home, and she'll give you a lifetime of love and devotion! Kiki has been vet checked, spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and tested negative for heartworm. Call 507-451-4512 to meet Kiki in her foster home. Her adoption fee is $165. (M&DS)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kiki, a Owatonna Chihuahua/Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Pug for sale in Owatonna, or seeking a Chihuahua/Pug dog from a breeder in Owatonna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Owatonna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Owatonna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Pug breeders who help with Chihuahua/Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Owatonna paves the way for another one to be saved.
