My life has been pretty sad until I came into rescue last month. I was found as a stray wandering the streets of Louisville. The doggie police saw I needed help and took me to the local shelter there.
I was dehydrated, malnourished and had worms at the time. Not long after that I had a family that adopted me....that only lasted for a few weeks when they decided they did not want the responsibility of a dog and brought me back to the shelter.
What did I do wrong to deserve being so brokenhearted?
Schnauzer Rescue Cincinnati heard my story and transported me to Cincinnati. I am now in a foster home with five other fur kids.
My teeth were cleaned and I had a great physical. I do have a heart murmur, but nothing that requires meds.
I am still working on my house manners and climbing steps but progressing each day. My foster mom will tell you that I never bark and am very submissive.....you will hardly know I am in the house except for the sound of my metal tags.
I am great with older kids and love older adults. A fenced yard would be wonderful as I love to wander sometimes when I hear a strange sound.
Please consider filling out an application for me. When you look into my big, brown eyes, you will know how much I thank you.
Mabel is fostered by Shirley in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is only $250.00
