Cheyanne is a beautiful, extremely soft, 9 year old border collie mix. Don't let her age fool you, she is in the prime of her life, very agile and loves to play. She was adopted from AZBCR when she was just a puppy. Her mother was rescued from Maricopa Animal Control while she was pregnant, and gave birth to Cheyanne and several other litter mates shortly after. Before going to her foster home, Cheyanne lived with her adopted family all her life. She is a sweet, smart girl, who is VERY well trained in obedience and tricks, such as roll over and playing dead. Her favorite thing to do with lay at her owners feet. Cheyanne does well with going out the dog door, but sometimes has trouble getting back inside. She is food motivated and eager to learn. She enjoys playing fetch and will bring a toy to you when she wants to play. She likes to talk and will let you know when someone is at the door. Cheyanne is crate trained as well as leash trained and walks very well. She can be anxious at times of new surroundings, but warms up to new adults fairly quickly. However children and other animals make her nervous. Because her owners had a child this last year, Cheyanne is looking for a forever home where she can be the only child/pet. Cheyanne is a loyal dog, and loves hugs and snuggles from her owner and other adults. Fill out an adoption application to set up a meet and greet with this loving companion!

About Arizona Border Collie Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

The purpose and main function of Arizona Border Collie Rescue (ABCR) is to promote humane treatment through rescue, rehabilitation, education and the re-homing of neglected, abandoned and unwanted border collies.

Our Adoption Process...

We have a 4-step adoption process to make sure you find the right dog for your family.
First you fill out an application, and then you will have a phone interview to find out just what type of dog you are looking for and if you are familiar with the breed. Next you will be scheduled for a home visit to better assess your needs and the appropriate activity level and age of a potential dog adoption. Last but most important you will be scheduled to meet the Border Collies that would suit you and your family the best for a long happy life together.
