Toby Pacey-Murray's Story...
Thank You Pacey-Murray Family!
"This transport is in memory of two beloved family members - Pacey, our dog, and Murray, our cat. Please name this transport the Pacey-Murray transport. When Pacey was four years old, he found two abandoned kittens huddling under a bush in our yard. My husband and I took them in, “just for the night.” By morning, the kittens were part of our hearts. Pacey, Maisy and Murray became best friends instantly. They played together, ate together and slept together. At 10 years old, Murray was diagnosed with renal failure. Throughout his illness, he never lost his capacity for loving. He purred constantly, gave hugs and patiently endured his fluid infusions. And when I said “love you” to him, he even parroted back a vocalization that sounded just like “love you.” Murray died in my arms when he was 12 years old. Pacey, our 17 year old Cocker Spaniel, died four months later from complications of congestive heart failure and degenerative myelopathy. Pacey was a sweet, patient dog whose antics could brighten a day. When he was healthy, he was an SPCA Therapy Dog. Residents of convalescent homes lit up when they saw him coming, and he appointed himself the official greeter at our town’s library. My husband, myself and Maisy, miss Murray and Pacey dearly. It gives us comfort to know that many lives will be saved in their honor." ~Suzanne & Carl Borowicz
Toby was born about May 5, 2016 and weighs about 55 lbs. This boy is just delightful with all of us and the other dogs. He is playful, fun, and very loving. He should fit in about any home. This is all we know so far as the southern shelter feels it embarrasses humans dropping off their pets to ask any questions. The reason is so often financial in the old mining town. So, we will be learning as we go and so will you.
The Adoption Fee for this dog is $325.00.
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a "complete" pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES
We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.
Our primary goals here at Joyful Rescues are to re-home pets and save them from becoming homeless in the future, educate the public on pet care and spaying/neutering to control the pet overpopulation, to spay/neuter every pet before they leave us and spay/neuter as many pets, belonging to the public, as possible within our means.
