My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gigi is schnauzer mix. She is approx 2 yrs old and 37 lbs. We rescued her and her pups from a local shelter. She was so sweet coming off of transport - very gentle, and loves to be pet. Once she is comfortable, we know she loves to run out to the yard and play with her buddies. She loves toys and loves to eat. She is house trained and does well on a leash. She loves to ride in the car and did very well - just laying down and relaxing as we drove to her foster. She gets along with all of the other dogs. She is a really sweet girl. She would be good on her own or with a buddy to play with. She had displaced kneecaps (bilateral luxating patella) which we had corrected. She was treated for heart worms with the required series of injections, and she has also been started on a heart worm preventive monthly as all dogs should be.

The total adoption fee of $525 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. We also provide a coupon for a free wellness visit to the South Wilton Vet group if convenient for you. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. Our application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/
