My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mary Ellen is approx 3 yrs old and 13 lbs and the sweetest little wire haired dachshund mix. She is just precious. She is a little shy at first until she gets to know her surroundings and feel safe and then is just the most easiest dog. She gets along great with all of the other rescues, loves people,seems to be quite well house trained and does well on a leash. She is a quiet and well behaved little girl that is always happy and wagging her tail. As she is timid , no children under 12 years old. She did test positive for heartworms and was treated with the required series of injections, and she has been started on a monthly heart worm preventive.

The total adoption cost of $525 includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration . The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. All our dogs are in foster care, there is no physical shelter. Some have not yet arrived in PA.
