Axle's Story...
Meet Axle. His story has a happy ending but not for his siblings His papa is a Lab and his mama is a hound dog. The pups were born outside and eventually as they became mobile they made their way to the road and all were killed but Axle. A wonderful lady noticed him by the side of the road and scooped him up and brought him to us. Axle has been neutered and micro-chipped. He is up to date on his shots, crate trained, house broken and currently on heart worm preventatives. His birthday is estimated to be January 25th, 2017. He is a lovable and playful little boy and would love to have you as his forever mommy or daddy!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Axle, a Salem Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Salem, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
