Booker's Story...
"If you're looking for a handsome and affectionate pooch who loves people, I have just the dog: ME!! My name's BOOKER, and I'm a seven-year-old Boxer fellow who possesses all of those great Boxer characteristics: I'm friendly, fearless, intelligent, and energetic. I'm a strong guy who'll need a good long walk each day, then I'll be eager to curl up next to you to provide you with love and companionship. Hanging out with you will be the best part of my day. I'd be a nice family dog in a home where the kids are older, and I get along well with other dogs who are on the larger side, like me. I'll need a fenced yard in my new home, along with a comfy dog bed in the house so I can be with my people. I've already been house trained, and I sit on command. I'm ready to be your good boy! I hope you'll come visit me very soon here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter. They've got a great play yard where we can get to know each other, so please ask the staff to take us out together. Love, Booker"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Booker, a El Cajon Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
