Facts about Maya

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: White (Mostly)
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: Maya
  • Hair: Short
Maya is a young, modest and independent soul who enjoys perching herself atop her cat tower or in a window ...so she can watch the birds and passing creatures.

This beautiful girl LOVES to have her head and ears rubbed and will fall into a daze of purring upon contact. She's also a sucker for treats and fuzzy mice.

Maya is okay being left alone and enjoys being able to have her own space at times, but will excitedly greet you at the door and affectionately rub up against you.

She would do best in a home where she's the only cat and prefers no young children, as she does not like her belly touched (young children may forget this).

Make an appointment to meet MAYA and fall in L-O-V-E ! ! !

About 2TheResQ

About Our Shelter...

We are a small rescue located in the San Fernando Valley focusing, primarily, on cats and kittens. We rescue most of the animals through trapping in our local communities, some times even chasing down strays, or pulling from our City and County shelters. Our adoptable pets live with us in our home or in foster homes. Fosters are always needed. Please consider becoming one today?

You can meet the animals & adopters on Face book by going to "Save The Leadwell Kitties" (which is a public page). There you will find rescues in progress and update photos and videos. Feel free to browse through the many albums. I believe in full disclosure & rely on the support of volunteers, donors, and like-minded, rescuers. We also partner with other 501C3 Non profit rescues.

Additionally, we support and practice TNR (Trap, Nueter, Release) of community cats although one of our main missions is to find the adoptable ones, good, loving homes.

One person really CAN make a difference. Join us there & find out!

Come Meet Our Pets...

All our adoptable pets are featured on Petfinder.com. I also create fun & entertaining videos on each animals, host them on YouTube & post ads on Craigslist; under the Pets section.

It's important to educate the public on responsible pet ownership, the importance of spaying/neutering, fostering, & adopting. I also enjoy teaching others how to humanely trap stray & feral cats.

Our Adoption Process...

An adoption application, signed agreement, home check, & $125. adoption fee apply. The adoption fee typically covers FVRCP vaccine, Rabies vaccine (if the cat is old enough), de-worming, flea treatment (Revolution), combo test (FIV/FeLV), micro-chipping and sterilization.
