Big kitty Winter has had a rough few years. Potentially previously abused, Winter has been rescued twice from neglect. Unsure when her next meal will arrive, she will eat as much as possible, and was 17.5 lbs when she arrived at JPAS. She is also scared of TV noise and most animals, and will take her a month or so to let you touch her. In fact, her frightful history has given her some fear aggression, with hissing and swapping. But if you give her a "safe zone", like a cat condo in a quiet location, she will get comfortable and eventually let you pet her. If you give her a few low-calorie treats and feed her on a schedule, she will start to trust you. Though experience with cats is recommended, Winter would thrive in any stable living situation.
Adoption includes vaccinations, spay, microchip and FIV/FeLeuk testing.
