Nikko's Story...
Our hours are by appointment only. If you are a good match, we will contact you, typically within 72 hours. YOU WILL HEAR FROM US ONLY IF WE FIND YOU TO BE A GOOD MATCH FOR ONE OF OUR RESCUE ANIMALS AND OUR ADOPTION GUIDELINES/PROGRAM. We must review a completed application before an appointment is arranged. No exceptions. All visits with the rescue animals are by approved applications and appointments only.

Nikko is a stunning, male, German Shepherd Dog that has just arrived into rescue! He is what we all would love to have in a shepherd.

Nikko is friendly, outgoing and athletic. He is also very very fun! Nikko has excellent house manners too. He is crate-trained and has excellent leash manners. Nikko also loves to ride in the car.

Nikko will excel at agility. He absolutely loves playing with his ball, jumping and running. Nikko is incredibly athletic. He will play for hours and will retrieve his ball and bring it back to you every time.

Nikko is being fostered with other shepherds, so he can be placed as an only dog or with other large breed dogs. We have not tested him with small dogs or cats.

Nikko has not been around children while in foster care, so an adult-only home is what we are looking for.

If you would like to adopt Nikko, visit our website and apply today!

Please fill out an application to meet me at http://www.washingtongsd.org/application.html

The adoption process includes completion of an adoption application, a vet check, a home visit and a lifetime adoption contract.

Adoptions are not done on a first come first serve basis. WA German Shepherd Rescue is the companion animal's advocate and will select the most suitably matched home for the dog's general needs and the unique needs of each individual dog in our care. We reserve the right to refuse service and adoption without explanation.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nikko, a Woodinville German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Woodinville, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Woodinville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Woodinville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Woodinville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Woodinville paves the way for another one to be saved.
