Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Wishbone is delightfully loving, sweet, playful and happy, two-year-old, 12-pound, male Yorkie/Cairn Terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian.
Wishbone was purchased as a puppy but his dad got too busy to take care of him. Poor Wishbone would spend weekends alone with a huge bowl of food and water while his dad traveled.
Wishbone will make someone a phenomenal canine companion. He is great with humans - preferably over nine years of age, canines and felines! He wasn’t even spooked when I walked him on Memorial Day and people in my neighborhood were setting off fireworks.
He is housebroken if he’s taken out regularly and fantastic on leash. He is crate-trained, but since he was accustomed to being left alone either in or out of a crate, he will have accidents if he isn’t taken out enough.
He was neglected but never abused as he still loves all people. Wishbone loves to sleep cuddled against you at night, and sit in your lap, or on top of the couch like a cat during the day. He will make someone an awesome therapy dog. He is full of kisses, tail wags and pure unconditional love.
Wishbone is extremely healthy, neutered, up-to-date on rabies, distemper and leptospirosis vaccines, micro-chipped as well as fecal and heartworm-tested.
If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Wishbone, please contact Sheri at sheri@petraits.com for an adoption application.
His adoption fee of $375 benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Petraits.
Wishbone is currently being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
